2014 Missouri Chapter APWA Fall Conference

The Missouri Chapter APWA will host its 2014 Fall Conference in Columbia, Missouri from Sunday, November 2nd, 2014 through Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. The event will take place at the Holiday Inn Executive Center.  

The conference will once again include a get acquainted social on Sunday evening, presentations on Monday and Tuesday, full breakfast and lunch on Monday and full breakfast on Tuesday.

Presentation topics include MoDOT Design/Build, City of Clayton ADA, Missouri Task Force One, Persian Gulf Operations, SEMA Flood Plain Permits, News Media, Ameren Biz Savers, Continuous Tracking Advance Detectors, Non-motorized Intersection Design, LPA Updates, BMP Panel Discussion, Corps of Engineers, GIS  and many others.

Hosted and sponsored by Missouri Petroleum

Missouri Petroleum will also be hosting a get together event on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 44 Stone Public House.  Transportation from the hotel to the restaurant will be provided by the City of Columbia, Missouri. 

Buses begin loading at 5:30 p.m. from the hotel.
Beverages and dinner from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Continuous bus transportation from 5:30 p.m.until 10:00 p.m.

The fall conference will also feature vendor support opportunities.
Vendor Booth includes one paid registration.  All other booth attendees can register for a discounted price of $75.

Space is limited, and vendors will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, or before 10.17.2014,whichever comes first.

Sunday's Get Acquainted Social Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the Get Acquainted Social on Sunday evening.

$1,000 Level (includes vendor booth with one registration & verbal, poster, and program recognition) ,

$500 Level (includes verbal, poster, and program recognition)

$300 Level Non-Cash Level (includes verbal, poster and program recognition)
(this category is available to companies in which their sponsorship policies prohibit cash contributions but allows for material contributions - iPads, notebooks, televisions, event tickets, etc.)

The Missouri Chapter APWA is also asking for donations to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbia.
There will be a special raffle for a $100 gift card for anyone that brings items for the clubs.
In addition to other items, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Columbia is in desperate need of basketballs and
Wal-Mart Gift Cards for the Girl's Dance Team Uniforms.

Holiday Inn has set aside a room block of 10 rooms for anyone who might want to arrive on Friday or Saturday for the MU Game the day prior to the convention. To make a reservation, you need to contact Amanda directly via email at reservations@holidaycolumbia.com. If rooms are not used by 30 days prior to arrival, the hotel will release the unused rooms.

Rate for Friday or Saturday arrival - $259.95 per room (based upon a standard room with 2 beds- Non Smoking) prior to 11.975% tax and $1.95 hotel services surcharge. (Sunday and Monday are $99.95 per room.) Cancellation notice for Friday or Saturday night rooms on this weekend is 30 days prior to arrival to avoid paying for your room. All credit cards holding rooms on this weekend (specifically Friday and Saturday nights) will be charged in full for that night(s) once this 30 day cancellation date as passed. So if anyone with a reservation cancels after this date (October 1, 2014), they will forfeit the amount pre-paid for that night.
